Only been here just over a month but in that month Ive had enough :(

My neighbours stand right outside my front door and smoke fags and weed out the communal hallway window and my flat stinks of smoke :( my little man has got asthma and Im 22 wks pregnant so would rather not have second hand smoke floating around!!

Also, live right near a big park and last night about 500 teenagers were gathered around the park and sounded like they were all fighting...had to have windwos open as it was sooooo hot :( and they kept me awake!

And lastly lol I managed to go to the park today and got started on by some bitch calling me a C*£t infront of my 3 year old...he was standing infront of me and her :( what a nice place to live!!!

Ive signed a 24 month contract so sod all I can do about it grrr

Rant over lol xx

hahah that was meant to say 50 teenagers not 500 hahaha

ahhhhh god i really feel for u, i live in a quiet area
theres only one row of houses up on a mountain, but theres 1 family that are complete thugs
i can imaging your frustration!! as for the scruff that called u a c*** what the hell is that all about!
and infront of your 3 year old!! :( whats wrong with people
can u not end the contract u have due to these idiots!? xxxx

She was drunk in the park and not watching her three kids...all I did was save her crawling baby from going head first down a slide!!

Not sure bout ended tenancy early?? will have to look into that if it's gets any worse!!

Sounds lovely where you are :) ss

Oh how horrible for you hun can y speab to the management company that run the buildig or the landlord?

oh god that sounds awful! :( thats all u need when you have alfie and another one on the way!

rubbish that you are tied down to a contract..is there literally no way out?! x

The one who smoke out the window outside my door is council so may just go to them?? I would speak to her but i dont like confrontation really :( and you never know how people are gonna be!! But as my mum said she may not even realise its affecting me?? x

Go to the council! I believe smoking in your corridor is illegal! Just keep at them till they go to sort it out to shut up up!

It is illegal isnt it cos it's in a public space let alone a confined one!!! grrrr x

Sounds awful, I really feel for you. :hugs: Maybe you could try to talk to the smokers, though? They really might not be aware how badly they are affecting you, and if you do it in a sort of friendly way (initally, at least) rather than aggressively they might be willing enough to go and smoke somewhere else.

How many of you live in your block? Can you ask your other neighbours if it affects them and either all of you complain to the council or make another neighbour say something?

I have to agree that I think speaking to them first is probably better than going straight to the council. As others have said, they might not realise it is affecting you (some people are just stupid right?) and it will no doubt cause bigger problems if its official straight away. I'd be really unhappy if someone "dobbed" me to the council before speaking to me first. Mind you, I wouldn't do anything anyone would need to for anyway (does that sentence make sense?). Anyway, I hope you get it sorted one way or another, you could certainly do without the stress right now.

xxx

given the area, i wouldnt apporach the smokers. write them a REALLY nice note saying how it is affecting you and asking them please to stop, keep a copy of it and the date, dont give your address or name. Make sure you make a note of the date you gave it to them and then when you go to the council you will have proof that they are aware of your problem and have done nothing about it.

Oh hun u poor thing :-(
We seem to have a lot of teenagers on hairdryers lately... those god awful moped thing.
They seem to go up and down outside my house all evening. And as u said, its so hot I need the windows open.

In terms of ur contract, you may be able to get out of it sooner if your landlord is able to find a new tennt so he is not out of pocket. Hope u get something sorted xxx
