clarins stretch mark control cream...?

my friend works in beauty and recommended it too me, as your meant to use it whislt your stretch marks are still purple... but as its £30 a tube i'm slightly reluctant to buy,

anyone used this product? xx

I havent hun but I dont do the creams! I have heard that the only one proven to help them a little is anything with vitamin E in it so cheap creams should just do the same in theory!

i heard same too and bought vit E capsuals.. and just pierced them and spread it on,

thing is i used coca butter everyday up until about 3weeks ago(i got lazy) and only since stopping have a noticed stretch marks *a new one each day* i dont know if just bad luck or the coca butter was working? lol xx

I have no idea! I did read once that cocoa butter doesnt help but then read somewhere else it does!?? Maybe it did or maybe you have just got the little extra bit bigger!? Try using it again?! Maybe they will stop?! heehee Then make sure you let me know so I can get some hahahaha

NOTHING works, because it apparently your skin and collegen (I dont know the techie names) tearing as it stretches, and no creams will prevent this or get rid of them.
Some people are lucky, and others arent,Im one of the bliddy unlucky ones

i have used bio oil, pretty expensive and i still have stretch marks, but feel partly my fault as didnt use it as often as should of, am finding it is fading them though.

Me too!
Though Vit E can help repair the skin as its being damaged by making it more elastic (apparently) though I think taking it orally would help better surely???
I never used creams (well did with my first thinking it would help  ) because I know if your gonna get them you will but now with them saying this about Vit E (which I never heard when pregnant with the others) I wish I could have tried it at least hahaha

Bio oil (like most moisturisers)is supposed to help make them less visable but not prevent them! I have bio oil and love it! It makes my skin feel great!

Yea Im putting on the bio oil (bliddy expensive!!!) to try and fade the ones I have...but then I heard it can take two years of use for this to happen

I give up!!! Why cant I be one of those people who dont get ANY marks :shakehead:

Never used a cream in this or my other pregnancy and never had a strech mark....

Now cellulite thats another story!!

Arrgh gawd I have BOTH!!
Was trying on maternity jeans in Dotty P the other day (why are they ALWAYS really long?), amd I looked in mirror and wondered who had run in and smothered cottage cheese on me thighs

Yak cellulite! Stretch marks and cellulite! Its a good job these kids are worth it aint it?? hehehe

If you've started getting stretch marks then i dont think you can get rid of them completely. My midwife reccommended i oil my belly everyday just to prevent them or to keep them at bay even. I would highly reccommend olive oil. Not the cheap versions though. Extra virgin i think. Thats got a lot of vitamin E which is what the skin needs to maintain elasticity. Can be a bit smelly for some but then you can add some nice smelling moisturiser or something.

is cellulite caused by having children too?

i've noticed all over my legs and bum i have this.. but just put it down to being chubby lol...
