Has anyone else done this?

Is this just me or have others done this too?! I remember thinking about doing my birth plan and packing my bag at about 28 weeks (maybe even earlier) I didn't do it as teeny tiny bit superstitious and thought I should leave it a while - however now I am 36 weeks and they are still not done! It's not that I don't want to do it, just can't really be bothered???!!!! Maybe it will make everything a bit too real?!

I haven't done it due to lack of time with work and seeing family etc! I was planning on going shopping tomorrow for everything but that's been postponed until Thursday! Babies bag has been done for a few weeks tho, as far as I'm concerned his needs are greater than mine

Ive thought bout doing mine and im not 30 wks til thursday, havent got round to it yet.

know what you mean bout making things seem real, i still cant believe we having another one! And not being horrible but still cant picture holding bubs yet so it still dont seem real iykwim?

Would def start doing yours now tho!! xxx

LOl, packed my hospital bag only yesterday and just done and posted my birth plan today. I was a bit superstitious as well and wanted to wait until I was full term (37 weeks). But now that has passed I finally made myself get on with it!

You will be amazed how long it takes you to do the hospital bag, I discovered there were lots of things i needed to buy, and things i needed to get washed, and things i need to use in the meantime, so i also have a long list of 'last minute' things to be packed

I keep thinking about mine - but we're waiting on furniture for bubs' room, so at moment baby stuff is scattered all over the place - and i really havent got a clue about what we have/still need to get. lol so will prob need to wait a wee while yet.

Lol I didn't pack my bag until after 36 weeks
I planned to do it earlier but never plucked up the enthusiasm to do so, thank God I never went into labour really early! xxx

I know exactly what you mean jojo - even though im feeling pretty massive all of a sudden it def doesnt seem real! Going on mat leave on fri so think it may start to sink in then! I know I definitely need to do it now though - I may even do them both tonight!

I started today. washed all the baby stuff, dried and ironed..sorted out nappies etc.
going out tomorrow with Mum to get the stuff for mine, so hopefully it will all be packed and ready by tomorrow night (although what ever I plan never goes to plan!)

haha When Ben was born, my waters broke at 2am and I rang hospital they told me to come in for 6 unless pains started, so I started packing my bag about 2.30am!!! I'm so disorganised!! I've promised to be more organised this time round but haven't done anything yet.....

I packed the baby's bag but not mine. I think that hubby wouldn't have a clue what to pack for the baby but he could manage my clothes if he needed to lol x

I've done it! I packed my bag last night which actually only took about 15mins as has a list and a lot of stuff laid out ready to go - I def need to get a few more toiletries as don't want to take big bottles of shampoo/conditioner etc, I also seem to only have one slipper which means one of the dogs has hidden the other so need to hunt that one down! I did the babies bag when I was about 30 weeks so no idea why I had such a hang up about my own! Just need to wash all the other clothes we have been given but I can do that nxt wk when im on mat leave. All I need to do now is my birth plan - im sure I can put that off for a couple more days though!
