So today I had my final scan and appt with the consultant and they agreed to induce me at 38 weeks due to previous loss, high anxiety and stress and baby is growing quick. I'm 36 weeks and she's already 7lbs2ozs. She's right in the pelvis head down and cephallic anterior. I know my body had been induced in the last 12 months so I hope that it recognises the process again. Has anyone had successful inductions or how have your labours progressed? Mine have been like this in induction 40 weeks 15 hours posterior labour with fail epi and successful vaginal delivery, 2nd baby induction at 34+ weeks, 2 tablets 1 either end and 6 hours successful vaginal delivery so in hoping the third is in my favour. X

I was induced at 38 weeks with my (now 5 year old) daughter. She was my fourth baby and so I didn't need and pessaries - they just broke my waters and put me on s drip. Four hours later she was born weighing 8lb1oz. All fine. Best of luck with your induction x x

I was induced at 38 wks with Harry due to gestational diabetes but when I git to the hospital I was already 3cm n having contractions just cudnt feel them so they didn't bother with the pessary n straight to waters breaking n then drip didn't really feel anything till last 40 nibs when I went from 6-10cm in seconds n pushed him out frI'm waters broken n drip up to delivery was about 5.5hrs.

Good luck hope all goes well for you.

These are really good stories that give me hope. The fact that my MW if also giving me a sweep on the Monday before induction really makes me feel that it will favour me for a successful induction. Thanks girls. xxx

Take heart from the fact they're considering the induction. I don't think the doctors would suggest it this early unless conditions were favourable.

I was induced at 38 weeks due to anxiety to hun after a second trimester loss. I don't cope well when pregnant due to all my losses. They said at 38 weeks baby is fine so can come out as I wasn't fine. I wasn't at all favourable and baby wasn't engaged. Had 2 pessaries and they worked till 3cm then stopped. They couldn't break my waters as he wasn't engaged and I had to wait for theatre to be free to get them broken there incase the cord came first. They broke them fine but he wouldn't come head down and with every contraction his heart rate dropped as he didn't like it. I ended up with a section as turned out his head was stuck so was gettig stressed. They did say had he not been stuck it would of been straight forward even tho I wasn't favourable. Good luck xxx

I was induced with my twins at 37 weeks. Had one pessary, labour started 8 hours later and they were born 8 hours after that five minutes apart. All fine :) xx
