Morning everyone!
I'm a bottle blonde.. and my hair grows VERY quickly. I have quite a bit of super dark roots and I've tried my best to ignore it but I was just wondering, whats your opinion on dying or bleaching hair during pregnancy?
My auntie is a doctor and also on her second pregnancy, so she's practically my bible on all things bump, and she says she can't see anything wrong with it.
I'm trying to wait until the second trimester, but it's driving me crazyyyy!

I'm nearly 37 weeks iv had my hair done during my pregnancy and due to get high lights and low lights on wed. My hairdresser said because I get foils it's ok. If it was going direct on my scalp she wouldn't advise it xx

I'm at hairdressers now getting an all over dye. Always had my hair done throughout my pregnancies :-)

I'm getting mine done on Wednesday. There's no advice on the dangers, so I can't see a problem.

Oh I might go ahead and do mine soon!
I've been in the process of lightening my hair for a while so I still have the odd ginger spots so I'm dying to get rid of them, plus my natural hair is the deepest brown you can imagine so roots are so obvious!

The danger is in peroxide but recent research has noted that the amount of harmful chemicals is negligible as very little passes into your blood stream from an adult anyway :)

It's very little passes through placenta but probably best to use foils rather than out straight to scalp. Maybe think about toning the blonde down just for pregnancy and you will get longer out of your roots too x
