Hi ladies
I'm 16+1 and a known carrier for Haemophilia B. I was diagnosed a long time ago (mother a carrier, Grandad a sufferer) but this is my first pregnancy and I've just found out I'm carrying a boy.
We are aware there is a 50% chance the baby will have the disease, and we're aware that as a carrier it's increases the risk for me also. However, I've not had a consultant or midwife appointment since week 8 and so just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat, or has experience of pregnancy and labour as a haemophilia carrier??
I'm reading as much as I can but it's either too complicated terminology or, very vague!
Any advice or experiences very much appreciated.
