Had my scan & first MW app!

Hey Girlies!

Hope your are all well!

I had my first official scan & midwife appointment yesterday! All went well, they put me foward 2 days so now my due date is 29th Oct instead of Halloween which I'm quite happy about as I was worried incase the baby came out like this (tee hee just kidding!)!

The scan was great, the sonographer spend about 20 mins with is and I got some good pics. I have scanned them on but when I posted them on my bebo they were quite small, I will have a go at resizing them and try and put them on here.

The only potenial problem the hopsitial are concerned about is that I have a blood disorder that causes low platelets (ITP), generally this doesn't bother me but could cause complicatons during the pregnancy (& I can't have an epidural because of my platelet count I hadn't decided that I would like an epidural but it would have been nice to have the option!). I've to go back on the 16th to see a hemtologist/obs specialist who will discuss my options and the results of the bloods that they took yesterday. Hopefully all will be well. They are certainly taking good care of me so I'm not too worried atm.

Glad you had a good scan and got to see your LO

I'm sure they will be able to suggest other pain relief at your specialist appointment. I know people tend to say that the more you can move about during labour the easier it is to control the pain so maybe it will be a blessing in disguise as you will have full movement. I know what you mean about wanting to have had the option though

Bit of a worry for you the blood test thing but good that they have noticed this early on and are aware of it, sounds like it's not something to get worried about

Aww glad you got to see your LO Lou! I'm really glad all was well with bubs and you're not due to have a little devil

I'm glad they're looking after you hun, at least you are aware of everything beforehand and it's better that you don't have an epi if it could be any risk to you and bubs xx

Thanks Girls! My internet at home is playing up so I might not be able to get the scan on atm. I've been looking at the difference between the 10 wk scan and the 15 wks scan and it's amazing!
