Had my first scan..

Hi,

Because of my recent bleed my doc sent me for a scan to see if everything was ok and if there was actually a baby in there, they had a look but they couldnt see anything, they said theis could be because its too early or there is a chance of a misscarriage or eptopic pregnancy???

Do you guys think it would be too early to see anything at this stage???

Definately, you can't detect a heartbeat until after 6 weeks as it's not formed yet.

Try not to worry, I'm sure everything is fine.

Gosh I can't believe they said that your not even 6 weeks & the chance to see 'anything' on scan is next to nothing as far as I am aware! Unless someone corrects me!

I'm high risk & they want to scan me around 6 weeks to 'hopefully' see something then before hand is pointless!

Try not to worry although it's hard when you have words like that thrown in your face!

Yes hon - Its definitely too early to see anything - I had a scan at 5wks and there was just a teeny weeny gestational scan - No baby at all.

I was scanned a week later and there was a baby - It was tiny - But we did see a heatbeat!

My scan at 6weeks

Have they offered you another scan in a few weeks time?
