Had my first appointment today!!! UPDATE WITH PICS!!!

Hi guys

OMG I am so hyper and happy! Finally got my scan today and it was AMAZING. I have been put back to 14 and a half weeks, so my due date has changed to the 28th September (my friend's is the 25th!) Baby looked very healthy and seemed very inquisitive - she lifted her head up when the sonographer pressed down hard as if to say 'oi!' She also sucks her thumb! I was amazed, I am so thrilled to have seen her and know she's okay

We are calling her 'she' just because we don't want to call her 'it'. We have a feeling she might be a girl, but it's just a temporary name until we know. Perhaps we shouldn't call her 'her' just incase I get my heart set on it but there you go

Blood test wasn't too bad. They let me lie down and I had a very pleasant trainee doctor take it. He was very understanding and talked to me the whole time and told me to breathe. Half way through I told him to hurry up and I yelled a bit when he took the needle out. He let me lie still for 10 minutes and gave me 2 cups of water, so I gave him one of my chocolate biscuits to say thanks! I didn't faint!!!

So all in all it was a very successful day. I feel so in love with my baby already Can't wait until my next appointment which is the 19th May!!!

Aww I'm so pleased everything went well!! Can't wait to see the pics! It's amazing seeing your LO for the first time... I do understand how much you love bubs already, it's hard not to when you see YOUR baby jumping around on the screen!

Really glad everything went ok - 19th May isn't far away either!!

I did get some piccies, they're not amazingly clear but I will get OH to get the scanner out shortly, so should have the pics up at some point tonight! Bubs was lying very horizontally, very flat which adds to my theory she may be a girl!

Tht's not me in my avatar just a pretty fairy becuse it's my namesake. I'd love to have a picture of me as my avatar but I'm not sure how to resize it.
