Well after the disaster of my first antenatal class yesterday, today i had a fall in work! Tripped over a cable but wasn't looking properly talk about clumsy. Thankfully i landed on my knee (pretty sore and swollen) and little one seems fine and is kicking away quite the thing. Has really shook me up though. All this snow and ice outside is doing my head in aswell. Why does everything seem such a hazard the closer you get to giving birth:roll:.

Glad your ok now Citygirl! you get dead clumsy when pregnant don't you, I always fall off kerbs, like my ankles go all pathetic, and my OH says I'm here one minute and gone the next when ankle rolls over! touch wood this pregnancy I have only done it once or twice, so all good.

I nearly went big time on the ice outside my house this morning, and now I have been walking very carefully!

Thanks JJ

Think we are just ultra aware of our own clumsiness at this time aswell. Got a helluva fright though. Was fretting so much about falling on ice i thought i was safe when i actually got indoors!

I fell over yesterday while scraping off snow/ice from the car! I kinda went into the splits and squashed bump between my boobs an leg. Baby kicked and wiggled for hours after that... Probably telling me off!!

I am sure your baby is fine! Right clumsy lot aren't we?!

Aww hope you are ok citygirl! I feel like I have no centre of gravity any more, if I had to balance on one leg I wouldn't know how! Least your baby is moving lots so you know they are ok :)
JJ - I have always had slightly dodgy ankles that 'give way' and I reckon with all this ligament softening malarky to prepare for birth they've got even worse! I have no trust in them now at all, they just 'go' without warning!

Might be worth getting checked out though hunny. Not necessarily for bubba but for you too. Your muscles and ligiments are very delicate at the mo.

I have midwife appt on Monday so will say to her then. Little one is very active again today and the swelling in knee has went down so quite relieved. We have the snow really bad up here at the moment and now it's just turning to ice. Hate it!

Glad you're ok! Surely there shouldn't really be cables lying around where people can trip over them, whether you feel like you are clumsy or not? I'd mention it to work as it should be moved - it's lucky you and baby are ok xx

It was a modem cable over at the window at work. I was too busy doing my nosy looking at a car struggling up a hill. As i turned to go back to my desk my foot got wrapped up in the cable. I filled in an accident report right away though and it's been sent off.

I was more annoyed with myself that i done that rather than trip in all this snow and ice. Have been working in offices for years!
