Heard her heart for the 1st time :) All seems to be well thankfully. She's lying in the oblique position! So head to left and feet to right...explains why I'm getting kicks in my right ribs then

Flipping still unsure whether I'm going for c-section or vbac tho! x

Awww nice.
How come you never heard heartbeat sooner? Its great hearing it eh!
xxx

Aww that's lovely! Hopefully she decides to move to a better position soon to give the right ribs a rest! Xxx

xshauna_bazx - I dunno why I've never got a chance to hear her heartbeat before tbh hun. I've went by an appointment sheet they gave me at my booking in appointment and I'm shared care with the maternity unit and my GP surgery. I didn't even know that I had to book in to see the surgery MW and I only found that out when I explained to the surgery receptionist why I was making appointment with GP! On my appointment sheet it said GP/Midwife appointment so I assumed that my GP was fine. But tbh, the GP I saw was pants. She only checked my BP and belly and didn't even want my urine sample!

So, including my scans I've only had 5 appointments in this pregnancy so far, and it was only today that I heard the heartbeat. I think the healthcare system sucks tbh. They don't inform very well about what is expected from the appointments etc. I had my appointment this morning at 9.30am and it ended up that the time didn't matter cos it was first come first served kinda thing. Ach a well, as long as she's ok I guess I can't complain  x

heidi-hi - Cheers hun. I too hope she moves, the wee rascal  Gosh u and xshauna_bazx don't have long left to go! Eek  x

Thats strange, urine samples are really important at every appointment. Even my midwife said that to me a few week ago because i give her a urine sample one day and i was in the next and brought one in then aswell. Some of them are useless aint they! I can't even count on my hands how many appointments i have had, i did start getting them once a week early ish on though because of my BP.
Yeah least the baby is fine, thats the main thing :) and you heard the heartbeat.
I know not long eh  crapping my pants comes to mind!!! lol. xxx

I dunno if you got this, but the hospital gave me a letter for my GP to prescribe urine sticks so that I can test my own pee each week  And depending on the reading (match colour of pee stick with colour chart on bottle) if its something to be worried about, I've to either make appointment with GP or hopsital!

Next they'll be training us up to be our own blooming MW

It was sooooo different when I had my DS 14yrs ago! x

It is mad that in different areas u get diff levels of care, u seem like u no what ur doing tho, glad u heard Lil baby HB bless, I keep changing my mind regards vbac or section, I wish I didn't have the choice to be honest hahaha x

I know, its crazy nadine! So much for them all singing from the same hymn sheet. Chick, I'm fumbling along with this pregnancy  I've no complete clue what the heck I'm doing. I was glad to hear baby's heartbeat though. Took them a bit trying to get it as she didn't like them pushing on her to find out her position, so she tucked herself away somewhere

I'm so in the same boat as you in making a decision whether I go vbac or c-section. I actually said to the MW yesterday that I wish the decision was taken out of my hands, and she gave me the waffle of empowerment for women  I thought I'd made up my mind to try vbac but I'm really scared of something going wrong and happening to baby. And the MW said that they don't leave you too long in labour cos we'd be classed as high risk, so it could end up in a c-section anyways.

I'm thinking c-section now at the mo, however I don't fancy getting cut open again! :wall2:I'm just looking for someone to tell me what to do  x

I'm the double of u with this, one day I think yep vbac I can be in and out with it being my second, then like u I start thinking well what happens If baby gets stuck again n I end up wi section, surly a planned section would b better in thus case etc etc etc but I suppose that's the burden of labor, none of us know how it's going to go, I could go vbac n baby fall out after 2 hours, who knows!!!! It is so difficult, I'm on vbac at mo tho coz way I see it is - I'll take the chance of vbac n gettin home that night to my Lil lad, if it ends in section then ur dose I'll av stay in a little longer but no longer then if I had a planned one. So fingers crossed i have a successful vbac n get home x x
