had 20 week scan and now blooming!

Hi!

I have now had my 20 week scan! ( well about a week ago!) We were really excited and decided not to find out the "flavour" of this baby. Once we were in there though seeing it on the screen we changed our minds - but baby decided that we shouldn't know and turned around so that we couldn't see anything!!! Stubborn thing! So in the end we still don't know what we are having ( I am secretley glad as I didn't want to know but hubby did!)

Also, in the last 2 weeks I have bloomed! I went from wearing my normal work trousers ( which were getting a bit tight) to having to wear materntiy trousers and feeling uncomfy! Looking in the mirror I definatley look pregnant as opposed to just looking fat! Hubby has commented on it along with parents etc!!! I am dead happy now because for a while I thought I was just going to look fat for the whole pregnancy... I am now 23 weeks...... ( haven't worked out the ticker thing yet!!! )

Because of this new shape hubby decided to take me to Toys R Us! Bad move! We ended up buying a pram and a travel cot!!!! Whooppie - we are now buying loads of stuff and it seems more real. I think before now I didn't feel pregnant and kept "forgetting!" But now I feel pregnant and I am starting to enjoy it!

Congratulations! It was exactly the same as me as soon as I had the scan I suddenly had a proper bump and was looking pregnant! I was convinced I was having a boy and when they told us it is a girl we went straight to the Build a Bear teddy shop and had the most girly white rabbit in a pink frilly dress made! She has a birth certificate and a heart inside! Since then I have done nothing but shop!

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, especially the 2nd tri, its the best!

I have to say this forum is brilliant! I haven't posted on here much but have used it as a tool if I have had any worries just popping on to see if anyone has had similar experiences or problems. Most of the time I find a simple answer and I am reassured!!!

I think we have brought enough clothes until we know the "flavour" now..........couldn't help it when we had our last scan, but they are all put away. Can't wait to do the "real" shopping

When you planning to start Lisa or you playing it by ear? I think we will go to the baby show first and take it from there........
