Hello.

Me and my partner have been trying to conceive our first baby. I have been Diagnosed with PCSO in September 2010, and on Tuesday received a referral letter for Gynecology. So I called the department and they activated my referal, And said i would hear from them in the next 5 working days to tell me if im suitable or not for one of the local clinics and if not they will refer me to the hospital. So I heard By Friday the 29th June 2012 Not quite 5 days but im happy I heard, And it turns out I am suitable for the local clinic!!!

And they said on the phone I just have to wait for the clinic to contact me with my first appointment with Gynecology! My wait could be up 4 weeks But I still cant wait! (Only 3 weeks and 3 days left until The 4 weeks are here!)

I was wondering if any other ladies here on the forum have PCSO and have been TTC had to be referred to Gynecology and were sent to a local health clinic and not the Hospital? I was just wondering what I may expect from my appointment, as far a tests and fertility treatment is concerned?

As anyone had a similar experience? :eh:

Hi hun, hopefully you hear back soon, I'd be going out of my mind with the waiting!

I have cysts on my ovaries but not being treated at a health clinic so I'm not sure whether they do things differently to a hospital?

At my first appointment they took all our details, history, weighed us both, did vaginal swabs (to check for chlamydia and other infections etc) and told us what tests we were being sent for.

I don't know if your appointment would be the same but I don't see why not?

x

Im happy to wait i know 4 weeks seems like a long time but its better than not at all. But I can understand what you are saying its going to be a hard wait I know that. I have even got a ticker on my signature counting down to the end of the 4 week wait (3weeks and 2Days left!) I was told it may be less than four weeks though so Just have to wait and see :clock:

I have tried asking my doctor what the clinic may do and he didn't know because its a specialist area.

I also have Cysts on my ovaries and mine are enlarged too....:|:eh: Diagnosed with PCSO September 2010.

So hopefully this is what I may expect at my first appointment then? I hope so. After your first appointment did you have to wait long to go for the tests you needed or was it quickish?
