I'm starting to get ratty now. I'm curled up on the sofa for yet another night because of OH and his snoring. He has always had the odd night where he's kept me awake but since moving into our new house 11 days ago, he's been the loudest I've ever heard to the point where I can't wake him so end up coming down stairs, to which I may add, I can sometimes still hear him!

It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't struggling to get comfy and to sleep easily myself, but everytime I manage to sort myself out, find a comfy position n start dozing off, its like he flicks a switch and the intensity cranks up!
I can't even get a snooze during the say either. Our new house is a few doors from his Granda n his parents are round every day to check on him, sort out tablets, food etc and find the need to call in for an hour or more to chat!
Not really any point in this post at all but I needed to rant! xx:oooo:

This may sound a bit bizarre but have you thought of changing around your room? The positon of the bed.... I moved my bedroom around and since then I cant sleep. I also had to swap sides of the bed with hubby cos new position of bed meant I had to climb over him to go to loo so was no longer practical for me in my condition... I now totally believe in feng shui !! If not possible to change around room, make sure your OH is propped up with pillows so not lying flat on his back - also ask him to lie on his tummy to sleep. If he wont do that then tell him he gotta sleep on the sofa!!
Now regarding family over, why not just sit down and explain that you need your rest cos their son is keeping you up at night and could they maybe not call in every day? I know hard to do and to put it in a way that wont cause offence - maybe ask your OH to talk to them??

I really sympathise with you PrincessPeanut! My husband is the worst snorer I've ever come across. I used to wear ear plugs before I was pregnant that would normally enable me to sleep with him but since I havent been able to lie on my back due to this pregnancy I haven't been able to use my ear plugs as they hurt my ears too much when I lie on my side so I've had to sleep in a separate room pretty much every night!!

At the end of the day you have to make sure you get enough sleep especially whilst you're pregnant so do whatever it takes to enable you to get that. You can still cuddle with your OH in bed with him before you go to sleep in separate rooms and then again in the morning!!

As for your OH's parents coming round every day - I have to say that would do my head in too! Really agree with TraceyM - think something needs to be said to them in a sensitive way - definately think your OH should do that though!

Good luck!
