Growth spurt?!

Do babys go 'quiet' when they're having growth spurts?
I usually feel my baba wriggling but lately it has slowed down, my bump is also getting bigger a lot quicker! my bump is also tender to touch at the moment.. and this past few days ive been having a few stretchy pains!
So im wondering if bubs is having a growth spurt? I'm seventeen weeks and three days!xxx

Yes they do. Especially earlier on I wouldn't feel him for a few days then suddenly he would start again but twice a strong! He is probably still moving but with him still being tiny you can't notice. Now I still notice that I will get a few days every few weeks where he slows down then suddenly gets bigger.

I found if I lay flat on my bed really still I would usually feel a tiny reassuring movement x

17 weeks is really early to be feeling anything, so I'd expect days when you wouldn't feel stuff. I had a bit of "fluttering" a week or so ago, then absolutely nothing since then.

Doppler-wise, please don't get stressed if you can't find baby's heartbeat - it can be quite difficult. My consultant couldn't find my baby's heartbeat last week with a doppler and had to use ultrasound instead xx
