This is my first so I'm not sure what's normal and what isn't.

For the past week or so I've been getting some serious groin pain, a couple times it's stopped me in my track! My parts constantly ache and the groin pain almost feels like it's being pulled apart.

Is it normal? Anybody else experiencing this too?

Xx

I have those pains ... I am carrying just over 8lbs of baby so far and my physio said it is the weight that can cause it, if you are worried though speak to your midwife x

I've been told I'm carrying a heavy baby too. It feels like cramp. Quite painful.

Aww heavy babies are good, I'm carrying 2 babies though but I get the odd cramp pain, I struggle to lift my legs up to walk or put my underwear on, my physio gave me a fembrace which helps a little to take some of the weight away x

I've got it too, hurts to roll over in bed or lift my leg to put bottoms on. Apparently baby is well over 5lb already which is above all the lines on my chart!!

I have servers SPD & SJD, had since 11 weeks this time. I'm on crutches, wear a pelvic support belt and the consultant has put me on high dose of cocodamol, you may well have developed it,
Most that do get it get it at the end. I'm one of the U luck ones as I have hypermobility syndrome. Hopefully not long for you to go now and you can get back to normal......
My physio did say if breastfeeding it'll take longer to go back as the hormones are still being released but if bottle feeding you recover quicker. I will probably be induced early again due to the problems as its agonising, I can't even go shopping because pushing a trolley it's super painful I want to cry x

I'm also on crutches with a support belt, I don't have sad though, mine is all down to the weight of the bump and the pain and uncomfortableness it is giving me x

Aw ladies yours both sounds so painful and here's me whinging about a bit of cramp. Yes thankfully I don't have long left & I'll be bottle feeding so that's a bonus it'll go quicker!

You are every bit entitled to be worried about aches and pains, your midwife will probably know more, but there are so many things that can cause it the list is endless x

I keep getting good sharp pains in my cervix area, a bit like little man is trying to escape... from my growth scan yesterday the head is down so could be that getting into position more than anything. When the consultant said his head is low I asked if that's why it felt like he was trying to escape and she said yes. Have had the pain more today as well, I literally have to stop walking.

On a different note, I am walking like I have a bowling ball between my legs!

Oh the comforts we have at the end of pregnancy lol x

I feel like I have pulled my groin on the left side, things like pulling off shoes etc really hurt my groin and turning over in bed hurts my groin, I believe it is just where we are so close to the end now that we just have everything softening and making room but my groin is one of my worst pains in this pregnancy I would say... I hope it goes after delivery! xx

Lexi mine is all on the left too!
I catch myself sometimes walking with a proper waddle I always wondered why pregnant women did, now I fully understand and sympathise!

I know it isn't a nice feeling! Have you been told if baby is engaged or not? Mine got worse when head started to engage a few weeks ago and now it is just agony sometimes xxx

Yeah it's gradually gotten worse since my 36week mw appt where she said it was 1/5 engaged. I've noticed since that bump has dropped considerably so that would make sense lexi. X

I'm assuming you have mastered the waddle then lol x

Haha yes. When I catch myself waddling I try to correct myself but it just doesn't happen. Just going with the flow of the waddle for now

Haha it's the best way, at least being pregnant you get away with it :) x
