GREAT NEWS!!

Found out from a friend that my local hospital now does 12 week scans (it used to just do one at 20 weeks!).

Last time at the start of my pregnancy I was living near a hospital which did a scan at 12w, so was lucky enough to get one, and wasn't looking forward to having to wait to 20 weeks this time around as I'm such a fretter and would be desperate to know things are OK! Now I don't have to wait so long!

Does anyone else on here only get one scan?

Same here 2, i couldn't imagine having to wait 20 weeks for a scan, that's got to be neglectful, what if somethings wrong.

we get offered 2 and then maybe a growth scan at 32-36 weeks

I'm on the border between two hospital so I think I can choose...

I checked the website of one and they only do one scan at 22 weeks!

Which is forever away.

The other hospital doesn't list it so I'll have ask the Dr.

I know - it seems like a lifetime. I realise by then you feel baby kicking and once you start to feel that you feel generally a lot more re-assured, but still, the stress of worrying can't be good for baby.....
