Hi ladies,

just wondering if anyone can recommend any shampoos for pregnant women? Ever since i was around 10 weeks, my hair is overly greasy. I will wash and straighten it and by the next day it will look greasy. Ive tried cutting out conditioner, which has made it more bouncy but I just cant seem to sort out the greasiness in the roots.

Are there any special shampoos for this? or has anyone else been experiencing this?

advice welcome please :D

Oh good question hun! I have to wash mine everyday now because by the second day it looks like I've poured oil on it! My hairdresser said to try dry shampoo but I haven't tried it yet.

I have used both batiste and tresemee dry shampoo. personally i think batiste is best. but i'd rather find a good shampoo then spend like 3 pounds on dry shampoo all the time. And i find that it builds up on your scalp and goes a bit lighter than the rest of your hair! :)

Thanks hun, well hopefully someone will be able to help us :)

Tigi Superstar or if u want something a bit cheaper Loreal Elvive in the pink bottle its light or something I use both my hair was shockingly greasy! Plus batiste dry shampoo found tresemme smelt nice but didnt get rid of the grease x

I've got this problem too, haven't found anything that helps yet but have tried the Batisee dry shampoo for brunettes and think it's horrible, wouldn't recommend it at all.

Kerastase, Redken & Tigi are all great salon brands. A bit more expensive, but you only need small amount 10p sized to wash your hair. If you go to your local salon they'll probably recommend a good brand for your hair type & you will need a conditioner for greasy hair too (if you straighten your hair it'll be wrecked otherwise).
If you look online at stores such as Lookfantastic.com they sell shampoo & conditioner cheaper than at your salon, or just Google the brand names & compare store prices.
