Just put in for day off work next Tuesday.
My step-dad has got a Sarcoma cancer on his liver and his aortic vein.
He has to go and get it cut out. Been told its a very dangerous operation and he could die on the operating table.
Keep thinking he will be ok. Hes one of these guys that is never ill.
Just worried if something goes wrong that i will be totally useless at supporting my mum
Is not good news.
They opened him up and found the cancer was alot more wide spread than had been thought. It is adhered to liver, aorta vein, pancreas, stomach and bowel. Size of a football seemingly. (he thought it was like a tennis ball)
Surgeon says that it was inoperable. So now he has to try either Chemo or radiotherapy to shrink it. They are having a big meeting on MOnday to decide.
We were all really gutted so sure that they would just cut it out and everything would be fine.
Staying positive tho just another step in the process to getting better
