Can I have a moan please?
Well, this week we got two bits of good news- confirmation of our first scan (yay!), and confirmation that our daughter got into our first-choice school (double yay!)
We were very very lucky, because my darling OH unfortunately mucked up the school application form, so we ended up at the bottom of the pile waiting for all the other applications to be processed first When we got the confirmation that we actually managed to get the first choice, we were gob-smacked! But people have reacted really bitchily to it, a few mothers outside play-school this morning spoke to my SIL about it and were like "How did they manage to wangle that one? Looks like being disorganized works out in the end, eh?"
I'm stupidly peed off, and it's put a bit of a dampener of things. It's not like we would intentionally screw up our daughter's education in the hopes that it'll all pan out, you know? I'd resigned myself to us getting the last choice school, and OH felt crap about his mistake, so we both recognize how lucky we are to get the best school.
Plus, we have had a fair amount of bad luck, difficulties and upheaval in the last six months, so it was lovely that something worked out for a change. But apparently I'm not even allowed that, lol.
Hmm, I feel better getting that out! Thanks for listening if anybody made it to the end of this essay! x
