I'm going shopping with Emiel in Amsterdam today! :cheer: I'm so excited, because I'm going to buy new, warm, close fitting shirts that will show off my bump (pics in Tummy sticky thread). Finally I have something to look forward to, and I'm so ridiculously excited. Usually when I actually go out though, I end up feeling extremely uncomfortable after the first half an hour, and feel ugly and frumpy in comparison to the slender, boobless and curvless, Holland girls. I eyeball them so much, I get this feel Emiel is too - WHEN HE OBVIOUSLY ISN'T, AND HAS MADE IT CLEAR HE LIKES MY CURVES MORE. He has always been stick thin and is very insecure about that, and has told me countless times he doesn't find skin and bone attractive because he himself is a skeleton.  I know I am kind of rambling, but actually reminding myself kind of helps me keep my confidence, eeep.

I don't even know where I should look for a nice top either, and my hips have been bothering me lately... but whatever, I am gonna have a good time, and I'm gonna get some nice tops, and I'm gonna buy my mother a nice birthday gift. Nothing will stop me. :shakehead:

How active can you girls stay? Amsterdam is a good hour and a half away by bus and tram, plus we'll be walking all over the city. I haven't been there since early pregnancy, because I was afraid I'd end up throwing a temper tantrum from exhaustion and moodiness!

Also, any other of you bought new clothes to show off your bump? :cheer: I am just over the moon about mine, so I can't stop thinking about it.

Shopping :cheer: :cheer:

I'm still squeezing into my clothes that really don't fit anymore. I now have 1 pair of jeans that fit, one pair of tracksuit bottoms and one pair of black trousers and about 4 tops that fit. All size 8 and they are a big squeeze to get in. I can't wait to buy lots of clothes I am so fed up of wearing the same things. I feel like a complete tramp washing and wearing the same things all the time.

I have not bought anything yet, I want to get today's scan out of the way.

I'm not sure how I would cope walking around the shops though I've got slightly low blood pressure and feel faint if I'm on my feet too long. I'd have to be stopping regularly to rest and eat and drink.

Have fun though Oingo spend lots!!!! :cheer:

I can't even close my trench jacket anymore. It used to be VERY big on me, VERY, now I can't even close it by about an inch. :rotfl: It's absolutely amazing.

The only thing I can really wear now are my long striped sweater, my stretchy skirts and hoodies. And I am getting SICK of hoodies, I'm telling you!

My mum brought me a bra the other day I am usually a teeny 32B and this is what i had carried on wearing, this was a 32 DD and it fits perfectly she took a guess and was spot on!

I seem to have gained weight on my thighs, bottom, boobs and waist.

Hopefully I can go on a shopping spree this week, don't think my OH would go with me like yours is, he hates clothes shopping.

Have fun!  I haven't bought anything yet but will have to very soon.
I was in such a rush to get ames to school before my scan this morning I threw on the first paur of jeans I could find and they only just did up and felt very uncomfortable. It was so nice to get into the scan room and undo them  Sat here with them undone now too

for some reason im totally covering up my bump. i dont know why but i feel a bit ashamed of showing it off.

im sure you'll manage shopping, and if you get too tired just go for a juice and a sit down x

Well, that went terribly.
I couldn't find any shirts that I liked that would fit my bump. In the end, I was pretty much in tears because I just wanted to be able to wear all the clothes I could, even just a few weeks ago. I saw so many great clothes that I could never fit in right now... it was so frustrating and upsetting, me and my OH walked and walk, and in the end we ended up just going back home.

I think I'm going to ebay shop from now on. I've never used ebay though, and Emiel will probably laugh at me because he just doesn't seem to understand what I'm going through. :(

aww hun ive had the same sort of thing could you not get a bigger size? or get mat shirts as these will show of the bump while making you look nice

I didn't think to look up mat stores before going to Amsterdam. Neither my OH or I had any idea where to look... but perhaps this weekend we will go back, but this time a little more prepared, so we don't spend half our time wandering aimlessly around. It gave me the worst back ache.

My breasts are now too big to fit in a lot of the tops I liked, and some would make me feel very self concious.

ive always been so flat chested that none of my tops fit now. I have been wearing a few oversized cardigans the past weeks lol.

i only have two bras that fit(cant be $$ed going shopping) and one pair of jeans. even my shoes are too tight now my feet are fat!

i hate shopping, always have as im just too tall for 99% of the shops.

i no most clothes shops over here now have a mat range even if its just a few iteams. maybe you might find some like that over where you are :D
or just shop online could be alot easier for you

Scottishterrier, I have the opposite problem - with a 27" inside leg I can't get anything short enough. I wore my new maternity trousers to school the other day and it was raining and they were trailing along the ground all wet and minging! Yuck!

Why oh why can we not wear tracky bottoms to work?!?!

Oh hun

definately have a look on ebay and on the internet for mat clothes. Amsterdam is on of my most favourite place for shopping in the world but mostly ALL the clothes are for super slim non-pregnant times :?

Ive got to go shopping at the weekend for things like bras as my BB's are actually dented from the ones Im wearing at the moment when I take them off  that cant be good.... Im in a 34DD already

good luck with shopping hun, post us some pics of what you buy
