Hi, me & OH want to book a trip to New York at the end of June 'cos it's somewhere we have always fancied going and we think that it is practical to do it before we (hopefully) have a baby.
If by some miracle I am pregnant now and it was viable, I would be about 6 months pregnant when my holiday came round -bearing this in mind would you think it's best to wait a while before booking it or would you still book it and just go with the flow? I know this is probably best being answered by someone in the pregnancy sections, but I just wondered what you all thought as you are TTC the same as me.

I'm not going to stop TTC if I do book it, but I think I'm going to stop with the temping etc as it's all getting me down and making me paranoid. I am under the doctor already to see if I am ovulating - it's not conclusive that I am 'cos my progesterone level is low - and so I will carry on seeing him but I think I am just going to try and stop being obsessive 'cos I miss having sex for the fun of it and I am sure my OH is the same although he hasn't said.

What would you do?!

I'd book it and see what happens. You can't put your life on hold on the off chance you might get pregnant ~ don't get me wrong, I really hope it happens for you soon, it's just you have to keep living your life.
You never know, having something to look forward will hopefully take your mind of the stresses of ttc and you'll relax more and it might happen sooner than you hope because you're more at peace about it all.

Yeah, thanks HannahD, that is pretty much what I was thinking too. I am sooooooo sick of peeing on sticks and taking my temp (which I am rubbish at remembering to do!) and think I just need to take a step back from all that for now. One day I am sure it will happen, but if it does happen before New York then so be it, it's only 5 nights anyway!

I know what you mean. Last year I was so obsessed with getting pregnant ~ I was constantly poas!! ~ but I've got a little perspective since the miscarriage and I'm much more relaxed about it all now.

New York sounds amazing, what a great place to go and you'll have so much fun arranging it and figuring out where to visit. Hopefully, you'll just suddenly wake up one morning and realise that you're pregnant and you hadn't even been really trying that hard!

I would book it, but check with the airline first as to how many weeks pregnant they will let you fly in case you do get your BFP - it varies from airline to airline. You'll be glad of the break if you are pregnant - and you won't be too pregnant to enjoy it properly - and it's always good to have something to look forward to!
