Glucose test today

i having my glucose test at 8am i'm dredding it i mean at the best of times i hate having my blood taken and now i have to go have my glucose test done AND my routeen 28 week bloods so they will be taking LOADS from me today ouch, i hope this glucose drink isn't that bad lol for some reason i'm scared

When ive had all 3 of mine they have been a sickly glucose drink but they put lemon juice in it to take away the sickly sweetness, then they only pricked my finger every half hour so i didnt have any needles at all which made it a hell of a lot easier

well i had the drink, she didn't dilute it or put a nice flavour in it or anything it was FOUL and i was sick a few times after and during drinking it so was told i'd have to go home becasue they couldn't do the test as they wern't sure how much i had puked up so i have to go back on monday i gotta starve myself again but at least i don't have to have the first bloods done cas they were taken today, what will they do if i keep being sick every time?

When I had mine, the nurse watered it down so it wasnt too bad, but still the sweetest thing I have ever tasted and never want to taste again! I ended up having about five cupfuls of water cos i couldnt swallow some of it! I was fine for about 15 mins, but after started to feel queasy and sick. I forced myself not to be sick cos I knew I'd have to do it again and there werent any way i was drinking that agaiN!

can u not take in a bottle of jif lemon, the kind you use for pancakes? its unsweetened so wont interfere with your results thats what they put in mine and they gave me 5 mins to drink it so didnt have to gulp it down. I had to hold my nose too so i couldnt taste it

I have mine on momday and being sick is my problem as im still suffering with morning sickness. I also have to have my 28wk bloods done on the same day. As if they dnt take enough blood but all that blood in one day, i cant bare thinking about it i hate needles

I didnt mind the drink I just did it in 3 big swigs and she gave me water straight away but I felt sick in the last 20 mins running up to the 2nd bloods, as I was so hungry.I dont think they should be putting up preggy women through it .

i wouldn't worry about how much blood they take, i had my 28 week bloods done too and she only too 2 vils of blood so don't worry too much
