So I’m currently in a state of shock having just got my first ever BFP. husband and I are so over the moon but I’m meant to be going away with the girls for a long weekend next Friday, it’s a music weekend, normally full of lots of drunk people. husband is now unsure if He wants me to go and wonders if I should pull out and cancel, he is worried in case I get bumped in to. I’ve told him I will be ok.
Any opinions much appreciated. Thank you x

Hello!
I planned to go to Latitude in July just before TTC and fell pregnant immediately! I've decided to make the best of it and just be super aware of my surroundings.
I also went to a (standing) gig at 5 weeks, spent the whole time worrying about being in a crowd and was absolutely fine.
If you're concerned about the non-drinking/social situation, I have told all of my friends that I'm not drinking while TTC to avoid suspicion!
Hope this is vaguely helpful.

I’d go. Baby will still be really tiny at this point and neatly tucked behind your public bone, so even if you get bumped into there really isn’t much risk. It’s just a case of listening to yourself and making sure you don’t get too tired or dehydrated

Thanks ladies, now need to start the made up tooth ache and pretend to be on antibiotics so I can’t drink... somehow think they might guess. I really still want to go as just finished making my fancy dress outfit!

I’d go aswell. Take any opportunity to do the things you want before baby arrives. Congrats!! X

I went to Download Festival when I was 3 months pregnant and was absolutely fine. You will be fine!

I'm with the others. Go, enjoy yourself!! As others have said, remember to stay well hydrated. Also everyone is different but you may find you tire quicker so just listen to your body if that's the case. The tooth ache excuse sounds fine but if they're very good friends then telling them might not be the worst thing as they'll look out for you and you won't have to explain if you're not quite your usual self. Everyone experiences pregnancy so differently so definitely enjoy what you can while you can. Congrats!!
