im 16+5, we don't know what we are having yet, we are waiting til our 20 week scan. we have our name for a boy, george henry as its a mix of both our grandads names, both george. my name georgina, and thats also my nans middle name so that just feels right. but for a girl..... cannot think of anything! i thought of Elissa but oh thought she would get called Melissa. and ive just seen Mina and think thats so pretty! but doubt oh will like it lol. really struggling for a girl!! x

I like Elissa, but I can imagine people would assume it's Melissa. I have a friend called Nara, and she gets Cara all the time! Just a case of correcting people I guess!

I like Mina, maybe your OH will like it, or you could have a look at Mila, pretty similar but maybe not so out there if that's what he's afraid of!

Instead of Ellisa you could say Allyssa. Pronounced very similar and harder to think of the name Melissa when saying it. People mess most peoples names up, so as long as you're okay with a few corrections now and then I'd go with whatever makes you and your OH happy.

Ellisa is nice! I liked Elara and Lucia for a girl but we are having a boy.... I really really struggled with girls names - find boys so much easier.

Like others have said Alyssa is similar. Like Elissa, a lovely sounding name, but I have to say when I read or say back Elissa I don't think of Melissa at all! I thought of Alyssa lol - which is popular! Melissa, maybe not so popular x
