I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can get the flu jab for free if you're pregnant? I'm guessing the answer is no, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this?

Hey JenKat, yes pregnant women should definitely be offered the flu job for free, my friends all had iit free when pregnant and I’m planning to have mine in a couple of weeks. Check with your GP surgery but they should definitely offer it xx

Hi, yes. I was offered the jab straight away Just ask when the next flu jab day is and just turn up. They’ll just make you fill out a questionnaire and you’ll have to tick that you’re in the risk group because of pregnancy

Oh perfect! Thanks so much ladies! I'll make sure I get it. As always, this place is the best source of knowledge. :)

My midwife was very insistent on this and for the 30 seconds it took, I'd thoroughly recommend. Better safe than sorry :) x

This is good to know thanks guys xx

Free. Because I had only known about my pregnancy for about a week and hadn't been to my doctor (as I phoned and they gave me the contact details direct for midwives), I expected to pay but still, it was free. Be prepared for the possible side effects of catching a cold/flu though from getting this jab. I was told it would only last a few days but it knocked me off my feet for over a week as I couldn't find anything that I could take.
