I've had a really bad cold all Xmas and it's nearly gone now apart from horrible catarrh that I just can't shift,as soon as I lay down I start coughin and chokin and I can feel it at back of my throat but can't get it up.

Any1 know anythin I can take/do to help clear it??

Hey Emma, i've been suffering from this since I got pregnant. It's a nightmare. I've been going for accupuncture to cure mine but you can also drink a half cup of warm milk with a tea spoon of turmeric in it. It's hard to get down but it helps - you need to drink a few cups a day. Someone else told me lemon and ginger tea helps.

HTH,

Rose

its the worst thing ever to get rid of isnt it! i havent really had it in years, but its a pain in the arse. not too sure what apart from spit it out lol! i have suffered with a wierd stuffy nose for the last 9 months - not blocked but yet i cant bloody breathe through it! nothing shifts it! drives me madx

I am suffering too it's horrible!! worse in the morning and at night, been on honey&lemon for age but it's not done much :wall2:

I read in my pregnancy bible book yesterday that pregnant women often get nasal congestion due to some hormone being higher than usual so perhaps this is why you're all having nasal and catarrh problems! I've certainly been sneezing a lot more than normal for the last few weeks. Re getting rid of catarrh, I think steaming over a bowl of hot water is helpful - I think it loosens it all up. Hope you get better soon!
