Gentital thrush in toddlers?

Rosie has been taking antibiotics for an ear infection; when these had finished her symptoms returned and so I took her back to the doctors. She has been taking a stronger one now for three days and I have noticed that she has a red type of sore looking rash on her labia -she has also been 'fiddling' like she is itching when I take her nappy off to change her.

Does anyone have any experience of this? If its still there tomorrow Im going to take her to the casualty at our community hospital as I cant stand the thought of her being in discomfort. I did buy her some live yoghurt although she hasnt eaten much.

She spat put the antibiotic twice tonight, might have to ask the doc for something else, its white thick and very gritty and she totally hates taking it!

Jacob had thrush ages ago when he was about 7 months old and he didn't seem in any discomfort. All I did was take him to the doctors and they gave me some cream and it cleared up no problem
