I am not having much success with the transition of changing my daughter from a gro bag to normal blankets/duvet.

For the last 2 nights I have tried but she has wakened a trillion times in the night crying and has been found in all sorts of weird and wonderful positions!

I think she might be cutting some new teeth so that won't have helped. Does anyone have any advice on this? She's 13 months old. Maybe I should stick with the gro bag for another while?

Have you got a pillow or breast feeding pillow?ive got a widgey that's in my lo's cot and ever since that was in there he's always been in a normal position in bed!

Hi Tinkerbell, she's always slept on a pillow (a lilla kudis baby pillow at the beginning and now a normal pillow). Maybe I should think about securing her with pillows down the side..great idea, thanks!

13 months is young to make the transition. My daughter and all her friends stayed on gro bags until they moved in to their beds around 2. Maybe just keep her in the grobag a bit longer?

Anything for a nights sleep. She's back in her tonight again! Thanks for the tip.

My LO is 16 months and still in her sleeping bags. She is a good sleeper (most of the time!) so I am really reluctant to change her to blankets and a pillow until I really need too

Is there any reason you want to stop using the sleeping bags? x

Im the same as you, Zachary refuses to have a pillow and blanket, I've been trying for a while now, but he screams and throws them out the cot, shouting bag! I have just let him have his own way as I don't want him to have a bad association with bed time, I'm sure they will want to at some point xxx

The 23 month old I look after still uses sleeping bags

Hey,
My LO is still in a sleeping bag. We love them xxxxx

Jack will not sleep unless he's in his gro bag. I tried him with just a light blanket an hour ago for his nap because it's so hot today and he just crawled around and trashed his cot lol. Once in his gro bag he was asleep in 3-4mins!! I couldn't use a blanket/quilt at night at the moment anyway because he moves around so much in his sleep i'd worry he'd go under the blanket! I don't plan on attempting a pillow or quilt until he's in a big bed x

My LO is almost 13 months and I plan on keeping him in his grobag until he makes the transition to a 'big boy bed'.
Considering I was dead against using sleeping bags when I was pregnant with him I have now done a complete 180 and wouldn't dream of letting him loose with a blanket LOL!
He ends up all over the place and I wouldn't sleep for worrying that he had got caught under the covers - buying the grobags was definitely the best thing we did!
I dont think there is a right or wrong answer - just what suits you and your LO :)

I'm planning to keep my lo in a sleeping bag for as long as but I have bought one for when he's older that has legs so he can move about if he wants to but no covers to kick off

think its called Dream Genie - got it in John Lewis but they have them on Amazon too

With all the hot weather we have had, she's been sleeping in a vest so the gro bag has gone albeit in a round about way!
