I read this over the weekend Dani and I am so sorry.
I think this would be considered to be chemical pregnancy BUT it makes no differance what you call it. The loss of a wanted pregnancy at any stage is horrible....
I would get yourself to your GP and get this on your medical file at the very least.
My 2nd pregnancy ended at 5 weeks and it occured over the weekend so I could not get to the GP / EPU... by the time I got an appointment all I could do was tell the Dr what has happened (I had no "proof" so to speak) luckily the Dr was fine. Sadly in my catchment area you really do have to have had 3 m/cs to be referred... This is not just 'talk' it is the one and only criteria you have to meet {they will refer you after two losses if you are over 35}
Sadly I did go on to to have another loss, and I did then get referred.
I would suggest that you beg, plead, and do everything in your power to get yourself referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic NOW but please, please do not be too disappointed if this doesn't happen....
Under the recurrent miscarriage clinic I am having the following tested:
* My egg quallity
* My womb (with a transvaginal scan they will look for fibroids / cysts / check the thickness of my cervial lining)
* My blood thickness
* Mine and OH chorosomes / genetic compatibility.
So far I have had one scan but it was inconclusive as they gave me an appointment at the wrong time in my cycle. I have to have another one when I get my period. OH and I have already had blood tests (I had to give 14 vials
) and I need to go back for more blood tests on CD2.
I went to Dr on 7th Nov, get my appointment for 6th Jan and we go back on 2nd March for results. As I need to wait until next month for my period to finish off my blood tests and get scanned, I am not sure if Dr will even have my full results by 2nd March?
On the upside we were told we could carry on TTC and if I do get pregnant I have a number I can call and the specialist said he would get me back in and "try to keep me pregnant" - whatever that means !!
I realy do feel for you Dani, one loss is awful but two does make you worry something is very wrong!
My specialist said
from a purely medical point of view that really 2 m/c's is not that worrisome but once you get to 3 there is def a problem.
I hope your GP can help hun and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
