Morning Ladies,

Last pregnancy I cooked and froze a load of different dinners ready for when baby was born so I didn't have to worry about cooking. Planning on doing the same this time but I am having a serious brain fart when it comes to meal ideas, all I have on my list so far is lasagne and cottage pie haha - any suggestions? x

I did this last time too. How about curries, stews, hotpot, chicken supreme, must be loads more ideas but having a mental block too!! X

I done a mac n cheese. I'll see if I can find the post I put up here a while back.

Here it is. I just froze it before the oven part. Added loads of extra cheese. I nuke it in the oven until.nice and crispy after defrosting.

Love this! Think I'll have to rearrange the freezer and get a few things done!!

Your organised, I'm making my mum cook me meals lol. She lives a street away xx

My plan is Hubby doing the cooking when baby is born (he is taking 2 weeks off and is a chef by trade so that's convenient) and after that my mum comes to stay for 2 weeks so she will do the cooking xx

I would also recommand cooking and freezing some soups x

Haha is it wrong that im really excitied about doing a treat box for after the babies born??!! Guna get loads of yummy cakes, biscuits n chocolate, even cereal bars as I can't have them atm too much sugar!! Guna b as fat as a house people will wonder if I've had the baby lol.

Nout wrong with that at all hun, prob why I have put on too weight during pregnancy - I am obsessed with cereal bars etc at mo haha x

I think we made things that were quick like stir-fry or steak and veg, or ordered takeaway! Live in the countryside now so takeaway isn't an option. I need to more organised this time, especially for my little boy.

Haha snap my mum lives across the road and mil in the same village so I'll be relying on them and my trusty slow cooker! My freezer is on the blink so its freezing things too well so need that fixed or replaced so can't really stock up

Made lasagnes curries sheoards pie and chilli etc when was expecting my son and it was a god send! Will deffo be doing the same this time around esp with a toddler! All we had to do was get out in morning, wack in oven tea time and cook rice/make gravy etc. Was quick and easy

My hubby is a pretty good cook and some days we would have fajitas/exhalladas and other meals from scratch but the frozen ones when exhausted just made it easier to rest when needed :)

I always do this but keep trying to empty freezer, with no luck. It keeps filling up again ( its smaller than weve had before!)
Last try this week or im not pre cooking this time. I alwzys did it for hubby and kids whole im in hosp. But hubby leaves then and cooks burgers and chips/ sweaty hotdogs and homemade pizza -safe things for him!! But it does mean I come home and then I can get us back to normality without having to cook with a chair in kitchen for bf or when gravity gets too much after section. ( healthier meals too to get rid of baby belly!

Chilli con carne
Spag bol sauce
Calenoni or lasagne
Curry
Sausage casserole
Meatballs in tom sauce
Stew
Stroganoff
Fish pie
Pizza ( we make and freeze some indiviual ones)
Shepherds pie

Sorry ive been lazy and haven't read everything. Only thing I'd potentially watch is having hot stuff frozen (like spicey chilli) as if you are breast feeding it might have an effect on baby
