does anyone feel like they're closer to people on this forum than with your real friends?

i do.. since becoming pregnant i dont see my friends so much anymore, and have loads more fun on here with people who ive never met before!

same here hun, only have 2 close friends, seen one of them tuesday and thats it lol. I prefer to stay in now adays though! a nice hot cuppa & a chat an im fineee

yeah deffo.. kitty86, midna and kimbo, carly.. me and (kirsty) kity86 have bn talking for months.. we talk about such cr*p and have such laughs!!, also midna!!(lisa) have great fun times...we also talk cr*p... found out that carly used to live up the rd from me.. lol.. so i may actually meet up with her one day.. and kim has solved a few of my problems lol.. what would i do without u eh!

I've found that my single and non pregnant very good friend doesn't have the slightest bit of interest in my pregnancy whereas it's my life now!

I definitely agree with you... I'm the first out of all my friends to have a baby and it can be dead lonely...everyone on here just understands what you're going through and it's ace!!!

I know its weird, everyone is so happy for you but really they dont have a lot of interest, none of my friends have children yet - its so nice to be able to harp on about stuff here and know people understand

I think my friend is feeling left behind because we're all married and having babies now and she's still not got a proper boyfriend. Still it's quite hurtful that she doesn't ever ask how things are going.

Oh yes. I agree.

I had a difficult time trying to accept this in the early stages of pregnancy. I felt that I had lost most of my friends so quickly as they were single or had older children, so we didn't have much in common any more.

I do feel that I would have been lost without this forum and think it's kept me smiling. xxxx
