Formula feeding... How long?

Hi, I'm abit confused over how long you can keep the milk out before discarding.

I use cow & gate for my LO and the can says to discard after 2 hours, however, midwife & HV says to discard after 1 hour.

What does everyone else do?

My little one sometimes only wants a top up an hr and half after the feed with the remaining of what's in the bottle...

I generally keep it for 2 hours ring but my dd rarely wants to go back to it so its not much of an issue. The Times she has its been no more than two hours from the start of the feed.

I just follow the guidance on the tins. Ours says 2 hours, so I will use it up to 2 hours after making it. My daughter was on a special formula and that had to be discarded after an hour! I think if the weather was exceptionally hot I may discard the feed earlier than 2 hours, but not in general.

It's one hour after it's been in babies mouth, 2 if untouched, due to bacteria build up x
