Do you use the proper sterilizing fluid? When we bought our sterilizer it says in the instructions to just use hot water but I don't want my baby getting any infections or anything so want to make sure their bottles have been cleaned properly. Also if you do use the fluid is it strong enough to leave a nasty taste in the bottles? I don't want my baby tasting the sterilizing fluid!
Sorry this is probably a really silly question but I'd just like to know what you mum's do, I'm feeling a bit clueless about everything at the moment!

i use sterilising tablets but mine is a cold water steriliser so not sure if its the same rules that apply
xx

What kind of sterilizer do you have? I have a microwave/steam one from Avent. You just need to wash the bottles properly with soap and water and then put them in the sterilizer (with water).

Yep we also have a microwave steam steriliser. It's the high temperature steam that kills off the nasties rather than chemicals so you don't need to add anything.

If you are microwave sterilising you use tap water.

If you are cold water sterilising follow the instructions on the packet of sterilising tablets or solution. Milton doesn't need rinsed and leaves no taste. I think Tesco's stuff needs rinsed.
