Hello everyone

Ok this might be a silly question but does anyone know why folic acid should only be taken for the first 12 weeks i read on the bottle that u can take before becomming preg. and up to 12 weeks im not anywhere near my 12 weeks yet but just a question i also took it for 3 months before getting pregnant.

its helps with neural development for the baby and i think it reduces risks for babs also...

it won't harm the baby if you go over its just the beneficial time for the baby is the first 12/13 weeks

yeah. i didnt take before hand as i didnt think id be getting pregnant. i started taking them when i found out. but they are beneficial and wont harm if you take them afterwards. as i was worried about this with not knowing how far gone i am.
