Hiya new to forum and first time pregnant, we found out on New Year’s Day bit of a shock! think I’m 6 weeks today, did anyone get the flu jab at this stage and will I ask docs for it?
Thanks :)

I think I was about 9-10 weeks when I had mine I know it was after my first midwife appointment at 8 weeks, your immune system is down when your pregnant as your body is working to support your baby not you so if you get cold or flu it could turn to pneumonia easy which isn't good for baby, I sufferd with a terrible cold and chest infection for 3 weeks but my doctor told me it would of been much worse if I hadn't of had the flu jab, I personally would recommend it but not every woman wants it or has it congratulations :-) xx

Hey, firstly congratulations.

I had mine yesterday and I'm 12 weeks tomorrow's at my booking in appointment the midwife offered it me there and then but I didn't take it. It's safe through any point of pregnancy so I would definately get it done asap

I rang my docs and they fitted me in within a couple of days

Got mine at 7 weeks. , same day as my booking. No cold and no symptoms after. I get it every year and I've never hadn't reaction. Had it last time too at about 26 weeks I'd go for it xx

Definitely get it! And Whooping cough (pertussis) at 25 weeks
