Hey ladies,

Just a little moan really;

I was in so much discomfort, leading to pain last night and all on my own. My Wisdom tooth was playing up on me but unfortunately they can not remove it until after I give birth. My dentist clean the tooth up the other week but over the past 48hrs, hell broke lose. I really should have gone the first 24hrs but I didn’t want to miss out on meetings, as I am self employed and need to save money. So last night Mr. Josephine went to go drop a friend off at the Airport in Paphos (2 hour drive there and 2hr drive back), I sat at home and chilled out. My tooth was aching, so I took a panadol then washed my mouth out with warm salt water but it only got worse, I then realised it was the gum rather than the tooth. By 3am, OH was home and I was wailing like a cat during season, so he took me down A&E. They were a good help, put an antiseptic solution on my tooth and gum then gave me a panadol injection to work quicker.

So 8am this morning, we were back off to the dentist, the abscess had formed 4 days ago but only the last 2 days really starting aching, the dentist said. I, therefore, am in great annoyance with the pain, the tooth can’t be touched and I am only allowed 3 days worth of amoxicillin (I was happy about taking it regarding Junior but it’s for my health). After 3 days, my Gyn said he will check up on me, if baby is fine, then I can carry on for 3 more days.

So after writing a biography, my question really is this………..what can I do to make this more comfortable, other than warm salt water, panadol and antibiotics, or do I come under ‘tough sh*t’

do what we do in Corfu and swill some ouzo on it (dont drink it just swill) :D

One of my teeth broke in half when I was pregnant and the dentist couldnt do anything until I had the baby, I finally have an appt next tues when babes is 4 weeks old!!!! at least I can take some pain killers now!

I hope that you get some relief soon, nothing worse than toothache
