First try of baby rice..

she wolfs a 7oz bottle in like 5 mins....think she might be ready? lol

plus she let out a little whimper and she launched herself at my toast this morning??

going to check with HV tomorrow after I have got her weighed xx

Hey hunn.
Its the same here....all the signs and tbh....I always go with wat my own mum n mother in law did n they say austin us ready...he was drinkin half his bottles....fussing...pushin ut away....movin the teat with his mouth n everyone says he jUst bored of milk. BOTH THE TEXTUREXAND THE TASTE. Its a natural progressions for us mammals to.need to mive to solids n every baby us reafy at different times.

We tried baby rice last night for the first time n he was agreeable...bit then tday screwed his face up so I tried the heinz creamy porridge...omg.......he loved it....think its just that lil bit sweeter!!!
I topped him up with some milk so just gunna stick to porridge before meals till 6mnths uf I can n then do BLW XX

sounds like a plan.....think once we start with rice or porridge, will just stick with this til nearer 6 months. or see how we go anyway xx

Austin had a 5 oz bottle when he woke up at 6 (didnt want anymore than that) - then at 9 hes had some baby porridge and 3 oz of milk - does that sound like enough peeps? I tried to give him mre milk - but was spitting the teat out n started crying as was abit fed up with me insisting.

im not giving her it for another week or so......the HV advised getting some hungry milk to give her at bedtime and then start with the rice when she is about 20 weeks. she is gaining weight well and still taking plenty of milk so they said not to worry about any rice or anything else just yet...

Make sure the dont drop too much milk a they still need it if they refuse the milk try making stuff with the milk in James would rather have food as was refusing bottles after meals so now we have a 9oz bottle at 6am the porridge at 8/8.30 another 9oz bottle at 12 the food at 3/3.30 the a 9oz bottle at 6.30/7 for bed but he's been weaned since 12 weeks due to reflux......he was on 4 9oz bottles to begin with but obviously he prefers food lol.......he sometimes has food after his 12 bottle if he's still hungry they say fully weaned by 6 months but it's a load of pish really start with the one meal a day the build up over the weeks hope that helps you both xxx
