My body has finally given in, I was impressed with how long my belly managed to last before it gave up the battle though.

I think it is because I used to be a bigger lady, then lost quite a bit (and am now gaining it back Baby-style) that my body had a bit of flexibility. At the moment the single stretch mark looks kinda cute - not sure I will find it so cute when I have tons of them :)

Despite it being my first stretch mark, people still love the old "Are you sure that there isn't two in there?" saying. My friends now just say "Your huge!" so I have become numb to it anyways - gotta love the pregnancy politeness!

Belly button still hasn't popped, don't think it will as mine is a hardcore inny!

Anywho - pointless post... lalalalaaa

I too have my first mark this week, on my boob of all places. Mind you I've gone up from an A to DD - hurrah! And I've used bio-oil in my bath, Clarins Body Treatment Oil in the morning and Palmers coco butter at night - I think that they are unavoidable if you are genetically dispositioned to getting them.

I also get the 'you're huge' comments, I think its pretty rude and get a little annoyed about it. So long as our LO's are doing well then it doesnt matter what size we get - of course I'm telling you all of this whilst tucking into a Cadbury's Chrunchie!! nom nom nom!

i've been on stretch mark watch, i'm surprised i dont have any new ones yet because the skin on my tummy feels so taught and it cant possibly stretch much more  i suppose it wont be long until they start to appear! I'm still getting the shocked looks and good old pregnancy politeness haha! the amount of people lately that have asked me when i'm due and when i tell em over 6 weeks to go they look totally stumped lol!
My belly button is a hardcore inny too so at the mo it just seems to be flattening out but still kind of inny, i dont think mine will pop, it didint with DD anyway :)

I am pretty sure I will get them soon, my belly seems like it is going to rip apart!! I am hanging on to what my SIL say's 'Now that my babies are here they seem irrelavant'.... she has two beautiful children (not being a biased aunty at all) and I can see how stretch marks are pointless worrying about when we have our LO's.

As for the delightful coments that people make, I am getting fed up with them.... Yes, I have put on weight, yes I am getting bigger, I have 12 weeks to go (does a bear shit in the woods??), No I am certain there is only one in there and yes I look tired because I have a little (gorgeous) monkey growing inside me.... now leave me alone!!

Rant over!

Oh no! I'm still waiting for my first to appear. Some nights I go to bed feeling like I'm going to wake up the next day covered in them, I feel so full. I have no doubt that some will appear soon - my Mum was showing me all of hers last weekend and she had lots, but they were very pale so I hope mine fade as much as hers have. Mind you, we have quite different skin types...

At my antenatal class last week, the midwife said that fairer-skinned people tend to get them worse than people with more melanin in their skin. I'm kind of hoping, for my own sake, that this is true... Anyone else heard this?

Ohhh I have not heard that before.... I have one on my thigh already from when I was growing so I think I am pretty screwed! x

I think I'm screwed too, to be honest. I have loads on my bum from puberty, so I am not holding out much hope  Poo.

I have a few on my thigh from puberty too, but they are really faint now, so I'm hoping any that we might get will go the same way. The one I have doesnt really bother me as I'm never going to flash anyone my boobs in the future but I'm just hoping I dont get any on my belly, but the way Pickle is kicking this afternoon I'm sure the deeper layers of skin are being put through their paces! Little monster..xx

Mine has faded too, thankfully.... lol well at least the one you have is in a place that is easy to hide.... I am hoping for none on my belly too, and none on my hips. xx

Ahh yes, I have some old ones from puberty days on my upper thigh - they are faded but still make me a bit weary when I go out in a bikini.

Though lately I swim wearing a strappy top over a bikini as no swimming cossies fit and I am scared my boobies will pop out of the bikini if I wear it alone :) hoping I won't get TOO many on my belly and that us darker skins get away with less/them showing up less :D (sorry fair skins!)

I'm fair skinned and i hardly got any with DD and dont have any new ones yet either, my friend however has olive skin and her tummy is covered with bright red stretch marks even now and her LO is 7 months old :eh:

Oh, happy days... I have oriental skin... I am sure the stretch marks will make an appearance soon. I think the MW's skin theory must be rubbish

I have come to the conclusion if I get them I get them lol :)

My mother was horrified when I took that attitude the other day, I was stood there itching my belly and she said oh you need to start moisturising, I just said that I had stretch marks before baby was in there so moisturising won;t make them go away lol.

The best comment I get from people is when they say hello, it's not hi how are you, it's hey fatty you fit through the door then!!!!!! I don;t care I will have my little human soon and they can all kiss my a*** because is going to be eautiful and so worth every ache, pain and stretchmark

Haha i think her theory is deffo rubbish...personally i think its to do with other factors other than the colour of your skin, if your gonna get em your gonna get em i guess! xx

Love, love, love your attitude, hun. Go you! Our LOs will be worth everything, I'm sure xxx

I haven't yet got stretch marks from pregnacy (touch wood). Although plastered in them from puberty so though I would defo get them. I am hopefull now it would be too late for them, as I read somewhere our tummys have been fully stretched and my bump has dropped loads! However my belly button did pop ewwww, I hope it goes back to normal after bambino because it looks huge at the moment x

I don't have any and I'm gobsmacked!! Although my weight has always fluctuated a fair bit so wonder if that has something to do with it.

Im sure I heard though that it's hormonal and if your gonna get them there's not much you can do to stop it.

Well my boobs have been covered in them since about 20 weeks. I didn't have a single one on my belly until about week 34, and they literally appeared overnight. They are below my belly button and aren't red and angry, to be honest they look more like ones that have faded, but they are brand new! I cried when I saw them, but I'm (kind of) over it now.

I moisturise twice daily with a collagen boosting body butter, plus use cocoa butter and stretch mark oil, and its not prevented them.

And regarding the comments on size, even today I had someone say the whole 'are you sure there's not 2 in there'. Yawn! I'M NOT THAT BIG! In fact I was measuring 32.5cm at my 34 week app!
