Hi,

I'm new here, and after some advice please.

I am on my first cycle of Clomid currently CD 26. I took Clomid CD 2-6 50g, I have been tracking my temp orally since CD 1. I have also used OPK cheapies and Clear Blue Advanced.

On CD 7-14 I had mild twinges on my right hand side - they were happening everyday. Then on CD 18, 19, 20, 21 I had a HIGH reading on OPK Clear Blue Adavanced (flashing smiley).

On the evening of CD 22 I had a PEAK reading (solid smiley), I had another test so used it the following day CD 23 and it was still PEAK. Reading was confirmed with a blazing positive on a cheapie OPK.

I tested again using a cheap OPK on CD 24 and it was negative. Through the time I was having flashy smilies to peak I was experiencing extremely continuous sharp pains in my right lower side and occasionally on my left.

Since CD 23 I have been experiencing sharp twinges in my back and very mild twinges in my side

We did BD but not every other day. Please see my chart for info. I'm chatting using fertility friend and it doesn't look like I ovulated.

Any advice?

Hey hun!

First off, if I may be as bold as to give you advice I would not temp orally. If you sleep with your mouth open, snore etc it will and can influence the accuracy of your cycles. Try temp either vaginally or anally (I know how this sounds but it is far more reliable and you do get used to it) from the next cycle.

Ok, your chart. I can see that your body has geared up to ovulate but according to your temps you haven't. There should be a clear and sustained thermal shift before O can be confirmed. Frustrating ...I know. You should see the state of my previous chart (Annovulatory).

My best advice to you is to keep on bd every other day until you see a rise in body temp. FF will only mark O if you have temps that are high for three days consecutively.

There are however some cases where women have O without a clear temp shift and I'm not completely convinced about how accurate your temps are representing your O pattern either. So, there could have been a shift and O could have occurred after you got your solid smiley...also, I don't know how a bbt pattern may look when taking clomid.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! :dust: - sorry if I haven't been of much help!

Are you getting tracking scans with your clomid? I would recommend you do then you know if it is working, how many eggs there are and when you ovulate. I did 7 clomid rounds if you want to ask anything.

Sounds promising but your temps don't match up so I wonder if like Kat says above you sleep with your mouth open or have disturbed sleep? Also when you take your temp do you do two readings? You should do one, disregard it and do another right away for accurate results..
