ummmm, not sure where to start but i need some advice.
i had a feeling i was pregnant but didnt want to chance it as i had this cold/flu type thing jump on me out of the blue last week....i only get colds twice a year.
so went to the clinic, POAS and within seconds two blue lines looked back at me.....shocked the hell out of me seen as i only have one ovary and was told id only have a 10-20% chance of havin kids....wonderful PCOS.
well, now im pregnant, i really dont knw what im suppose to do or expect. ive read books, looked online....but can someone tell me what to expect.
im 4 weeks and 6 days according the internal scan i had done yesterday.
am i suppose to feel something? i felt like my period was about to come but that sensation is gone....my boobs dont hurt, im not feeling sick....all i wanna do is eat, sleep and pee.......ADVICE PLEEEEEASE.

many thanks

lealea (and hula hoop lol)

Hi and welcome!! Sickness won't start until about 6 weeks, my boobs didn't ache straight away either!! If you get twinges and aches in your tummy it's completly normal so try not too worry!! Start taking folic acid and cut down on caffine etc! Hope you have a wonderful 9 months x x

thank you. phew.
i get the odd twinge but i feel like im waiting for something to happen.
i gotta go bk for a 6week scan.
but i feel the urge to constantly POAS...that cant be normal lol
but im:dance:to be pregnant......but i need food n sleep but this damn headache wont let me

Firstly congratulations!! :)

I'm also 25 and pregnant with my first (atually i lie i was 26 a few weeks ago( but im so nervous, luckily tho everyone here is lovely and very very helpful :)

Not everyone gets morning sickness, i was very lucky and didnt even feel sick much at all. The first few months were tiring and i was soooo emotional, but after 14 weeks or so i felt much better and was actually able to stay up past 9!

Have a wonderful healthy 9 months xxx

feels good to speak to other women who know what they are talking about.l
and thank you.
i just have to ask....are headaches a requent thing in early pregnancy??

Dont remember having many myself that early on but it wouldnt suprise me if it was a common thing, all those extra hormones raging lol

i keep getting them now but i think its down to tiredness and heat

the heat that is soaring over london is way too hot. hmmm...could be the heat also. didnt think of that.
excuse my airheadedness lol

I got quite bad headaches at the start! Make sure your drinking plenty of water! I bet this heat isn't helping :)

Hi and congratulations! This is my first pregnancy too.

I have experienced awful headaches! Really bad ones. I spoke to my midwife and it is normal. She told me I'm OK to take paracetamol. I think most of my headaches are caused by extreme tiredness so this may be the case for you also.

I learnt a lot from this site and also lost myself in a couple of pregnancy books. xx

hello, sounds to me lyk ur gettin really panicky 'pregnancy25 n nervous' i no excatly how that feels i had my first baby 6 months ago. but dont expect there to be loads of stuff you read in books like morning sickness because not everyone gets it anyway also ur not far gone.. i think you should jus relax coz u not just thinking bout your self now.. the thing you should do is jus read wot you can and cant eat and everything like that soo you no.. just take care of yourself.. =) x x x

hi i am 26 this is my first time and i was as freaked out as you seem to be when i found out! also suffering from headaches and wanting to eat everything and pee CONSTANTLY!

all normal i think (hope)

x

thank you thank you thank you.
i drink water but clearly not enough (im a ribeanaholic)....i didnt knw you could take paracetomol. well thats what ima take after i have my dinner.
i will try and relax..... :)

Welcome and congrats LeaLea

Headaches and stretching pains, living on the loo and sleeping all the time are all quite normal in early pregnancy, hopefully should calm down and your'll get your energy back in Tri2 at 14 weeks onwards. there is alot of work going on to fully create your baby by 12 weeks, so it's tiring for your body.

Wishing you a wonderful and healthy pregnancy experiance

I hope you are feeling better, like the others have said all you are feeling are normal. i have had headache on and off for nearly 2 weeks now. just trying to drink lots of water. i also only have one ovary (and one fallopian tube) and i was alsotold it would be difficult for me to conceive. I am 30 and this is my first pregnancy andi too am nervous but this forum is great for information and support so just ask if you have problems/concerns xx

i totally hear that. congratulations. i nthink im just over paranoid or perhaps a lil crazy. maybe both.
i found this forum by chance. it deffo beats asking my friends 101 questions without being laughed at

Hiya,

Everyone else has covered everything. But I just wanted to say hi and congratulations. Ask as many questions as you need, you wont look silly :)
