I am i think 8 or 9 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child (I have a 2 year old daughter already)
Anyway with her I was only sick in the morning and fine for the rest of the day so far I'm nauseous ALL day whether I eat or not I have zero energy
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to ask about anti sickness tablets, basically I just want to know if any of the mum to be's out there are on any or have had any? Do they work? I feel like I cant do this for much longer!!

Hi fizzy, welcome to PF!

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish. I felt nauseous a lot with my son but this time round I've had hyperemisis from early on. I've been on anti sickness since 7 weeks as I wasn't even keeping water down (ended up in hospital too). The first anti sickness I tried (prochlorperazine) didn't agree with me at all, it gave me some horrible side effects. I then started cyclizine but it took about 5/6 days to kick in and I was started on ondansatron as well. Are you managing to eat and drink without vomiting? The GP will probably start you on something light initially and see how you get on with it. When I'm not puking now (its easing with the meds) I still feel nauseous pretty much all the time so an anti sickness might not actually help take that away (sorry). Fingers crossed it does work for you!

Good luck xx

Thank you so much for your reply that's really helpful
I'm being sick in the morning but I will feel really sick the rest of the day I went to bed at 8pm last night and just sobbed I hate the feeling of feeling soo sick!! I'm feel dizzy alot too I'm not towing up after every meal though which is one good thing

I don't know how many times I've cried with feeling so bad. Night time is the worst for me, I've even slept in the toilet. So I really sympathise! I was having a lot of dizzy spells too, which was partially down to not eating much. I would definitely go see your GP and see if there's anything he can do for you. It's so tough feelin so bad, I get to 8pm every night and I'm craving my bed xx

Sorry to hear your having a rubbish time. I have two boys already and pregnant with my third. I'm now 13+2 and the sickness is starting to ease. I was sick every night from 5 weeks to 11...it was awful. I had no sickness with the boys so this was all new to me. I cried every night as I was so ill.

Hoping it clears up for you soon. X

I'm on a combination of cyclizine and ondanostren at the moment, but in the last 6 weeks have been on a combination of cyclizine with metoclomramide or prochloroperazine. I'm finding the cyclizine and ondanestron the best, but am still feeling nauseas all day, still fighting everybite of food to stay down. I'm triggered by movement so am just lying in bed all day everyday. I'm so thankful my partner is looking after me. I dont know what i would do without him. Hope you get something that works xo

Just thought i would add that i've been diagnosed with hg, but even before the diagnosis i was able to get good treatment with gps that tried to find something to stop it from getting worse.

Thank you everyone!

My concern is I'm only sick in the morning so far but feel so sick throughout the day sometimes I don't even want to speak incase I vomit so I hope the doctor doesn't think because I'm not constantly throwing up he won't give me anything.will soon find out
