Hi all,

As the title says really. I have two more pills and then I am stopping (after 10 years!), and I wondered...will the first period that I'll get a few days after I stop taking it, be classed as the first one and then I start counting cycle days from the last day of that??

It's so confusing!

Thank You

Well technically it's a withdrawal bleed from the absence of the hormones in the pill so not a true period. But for charting purposes yes it is.

If your body's hormones get right back on track in that first cycle and you fall pregnant then that last bleed would be your LMP.

I was on the pill for 7 years and it took me a little while to get back to normal as far as cycle lengths go (we weren't TTC for the first couple of months so I don't know about ovulation etc).

Hope it happens quickly for you :D

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to all this. Planning to come off the pill in Feb, after 10 years as well! TTC date will only be around June, just wanted to give things time to settle down. Thanks for all the help, answers lots of questions! I had the same one as Feanor. :)
