Just had my first MW appointment. She is really nice, she has classified me as low risk and is really supportive of another home birth. :cheer: I asked about birthing pools as I am considering one this time, and she said they hire them out for £25. Which isn't bad at all, I think I will go with that. Just got to convince hubby!

She will send of the form this afternoon to get my 12 week scan. So won't get a date until towards the end of next week. I just hope it is close to 12weeks. I can't help really worrying as my sisters first PG was found to be a missed miscarriage at the 12week scan. So I am really keen to get it as soon as possible then I can relax (or not as the case maybe).

:cheer: exciting news, you will be fine try not to worry, know its hard though!!
I want a home birth, didnt realise you could get home birthing pools though!

Last time the MW mentioned it but I wasn't too fussed last time. However my labour was incredibly fast and intense. the first I felt was at 4pm, she was born at 8:45. I went from 3cm to 8cm in about 30mins. However due to the speed there was no let up or recovery in between contractions. From all accounts my next labour will be even faster.

I found reclining back unbearable in labour, so although the water in my bath helped a bit the position was just unbearable, which is why I would like a pool this time around.
