anyone thought of what their 1st meal/drink they are going to have after giving birth? Mines got to be a nice fried egg sandwich... or boiled egg with dipping bread and also a can or two of fosters :)

mine was mcdonals.. out of desperation sake.. id missed dinner.. and was about to apss out.. as i hadnt eatten since lunch the day before.. and the mcdonals was cold.. lol...

i really miss my runny eggs... had a full english the other day and missed it to dip my sausage in... got stuck with scrambled instead :-(

mmmmmm baileys had forgotten how much I miss that stuff :shakehead:

I'd have a nice big fat bloody steak with Chips

PATE!!!!! Oh i want my pate! I've already told OH that it's the first thing I want to eat when she comes out!

Then I'm gonna have the runniest egg ever! Well maybe not overly runny cos I don't wanna bad tummy...but you know what I mean

Well my first "meal" (IF you wanna call it that) after I had Tia was a very small soggy bowl of cornflakes. :wall: I'm hoping little Spanish grandmothers work in the kitchens at our local hospital... :rotfl: and wanna feed me up good and proper...

Tesco do a duck christmas pate with a port and cranberry topping- hopefully they will still be selling that when I pop so I can have it with toast and a really cold glass of sauvignon blanc- just a little one though as I want to try bf'ing

a nice selection of soft cheese and baked camembert with fresh (still hot) french bread with lots of butter.

Chips to dip in the camembert.

A homemade honeycomb cheese cake with a nice glass of Pinot Grigio or bollinger with red bull!

I've not thought about it much!!

I am looking forward to eating lots of the banned cheeses too

yumyumyumyumyum

you can still have runny eggs so long as the egg has the lion mark it means it is vaccinated against salmonella. so enjoy!!!

dont' say that.. are u saying i have not had a runny egg in 6 months for nothing :-( :wall:

sorry honey but you've abstained for no reason!!!

why didn't my doc and midwife tell me this.. i've been in hell every saturday morning without my egg sandwich :-(.... roll on my dinner tonite.... i'll have egg and chips please LOL.........

eggs... gah :puke: :puke: :puke: They just have all the wrong texture for me regardless of whether they are hard or runny... DD loves them though.

It's the wrong bloody time for me

If baby had been a month earlier then I'd be able to enjoy an seriously over endulgant Christmas Lunch mmmmmmmm! As it is with my due date christmas falls 2 weeks before and from my recolection of last pregnancy, the final 2 weeks are just a nightmare to eat because you really have absolutely no room left!

While everyone else is tucking in, I'll probably manage one sausage and a bit of turkey and then spend the next 3 hours battling with indigestion and trying not to throw up. :wall:

My 1st meal will be a full lamb sunday roast with loads of veg. I really miss my veg atm :shakehead: God knows what xmas dinner is going to be like. Just the smell of meat and veg cooking makes me :puke:

After the crappy hospital food, the first proper food I had was down the road at the local kebab shop. Midwife let me out for an hour, so we drove down the road still in me PJ bottoms and had a huge doner :cheer:

I will have runny eggs- 1 boiled and 1 poached on toast, then some pate on biscuits with a selection of cheeses- can't wait!! :cheer:
