yep, probably the best bet, either that or wear ear muffs when she comes round!!

Seriously tho. she will just check Madi & you are both ok really. Talk over any issues you may have, talk about feeding etc.

Soz, me and HV never seemed to get on.

Mine is so WET it is unbelievable, shes got one of those really patronising voices.

We refused to have the home visit, after all the crap care i'd had from the hospital and afterwards we just wanted to be left alone, we told her we would come to her if we felt there was any problems.

Last time i saw her was at Ewans 8 month check.

I agree HV's are useless!!!!

But i know i few people how have nice ones.

They dont care about your home sweety. I was in my PJs when mine came for the first check! xxxx...... and my second check i think hehe!

oh god I HATED having the health visitor come round when I had Lydia.

She never announced when she was coming - and she came stupidly early in the morning when we were all asleep (Lydia had kept us up all night) and then stuck notes through the door saying that we had deliberately not let her in!

And then she came back the next day, and started telling me off for not having let her in, so I told her that if she was going to speak to me like that she could leave.
So after that she was like "why are you getting upset? you're getting upset aren't you. I can tell you are not coping." - felt like smacking the cow!

GRRR useless woman!

How rude = i would have complained to the health centre - here they make appointments. surely they should understand a mum and a new born need their space!!
