first docs appointment

I have my first appointment with GP tomorrow morning, can anyone advise me as to what will happen... not a lot i would imagine but it would be nice to be a bit prepared...

not a lot .my doc checked the meds i was on then confirmed my due date. told me to book at reception for m/w

not much hun like the others have said they check your due date and then get an appoinment with m/w.

I had my blood pressure taken last week as well

Nothin happend at my first doctors one... i told him i was pregnant he asked had i tested i said yes and he said that over the counter test's are soo good now he wouldn't test me again..

He made a note to write a letter for my first scan and got me an bookin appointment with the midwife
that was it really

My doctor took my blood pressure and that was it. Told me to contact the midwife in 2 weeks time.

Even though i had done 3 home tests they asked me to do one of theirs too. I have not even called for the results lol

had my first appt and as suspected not a lot happened... was v nice doctor though, got my first appt with midwife next week and told me they usually organise scans between wks 8 -10 which i'm pleased about so shouldnt have too long to wait.

went through my symptoms etc and are all perfectly normal the only ones to watch out for are any bleeding or severe cramping which lasts for a long time.

I still cant beleive this is all happening. I have had to tell my boss because of when the appointments are but noone else knows yet and i am dying to shout it from the rooftops with a megaphone as is OH.

That's good news about getting an appointment with a midwife and a scan so soon. I see my midwife for the first time tomorrow and have a scan next week.
