First baby question re: feeling bub move

Did they maybe say your placenta was posterior?
I think I was about 19weeks when I proper felt baby move, and it was only when I lay really still and concentrated I would feel it... I'm 32 weeks now and still only have what I could only describe as gentle movements, wiggles. Hope you feel it soon :) x

I am so annoyed but I cannot remember what they said about my placenta

Normally I remember all important info.... I was just too engrossed in seeing bub on screen.

There is nothing in my notes either - very annoying!

However I realise it may still be too early regardless of where my placenta is

Aslong as you have a placenta and it's working ok, it's fine!!! Haha!!!
I know what you mean about being engrossed in your scan! You will be amazed at your 20week scan how much the baby has grown, and how much detail you can see. I lay there for 20minutes totally fixated by the screen. Watching the heart beat etc...

I was about 14+4. When I was pregnant with AJ I felt him move at around 17wks.
Everyone is different.

When I felt Pip this morning it was as if something was popping. x

Mine was really early at just before 14 weeks although it took me ages to believe thats what it was. I felt flutters and popping feelings and then I get what can only be described as a nip on the inside somewhere now. At my 16 week appointment the baby kicked the doppler and the midwife laughed - it was probably then when I felt the movement and heard the noise on the doppler when I realised that it had been baby moving. Now I feel flutters much stronger and it is like Im hungry - like a rumbly tummy. The nips and pokes are weird though!! I think I may have squished baby earlier when I was crouched down doing something on the floor - when I stood up it was a horrible feeling and baby has flapped about since.

I had lucozade last week as I hadn't felt any flutters for a few days (and had decided against a doppler for home). The feeling I got was bizzare - like a fish swimming backwards and forwards in my tummy. It lasted for hours! Try that for a giggle. Think I may have to have some more when it comes time for scan day!!!!

I felt bubblings at about 18 weeks but no definite movement til 20-21 weeks :). All in good time :) xx

I felt definite movement from 21/22 weeks (Anterior placenta) xx

I thought I felt something in bed the other night but just thought it was air moving around so dis missed it. I'm anxious to feel bambino move :) got my MF appt on Thursday so hoping to hear HB. They didn't even tell me what kind of placenta I have! Does it matter? :/ x

Nothing on your last scan letter from the hospital?

I felt movement from 16 weeks, but that was ad-hoc. Felt more like 'flicks' than butterflies or bubbles. Sometimes I thought it was wind but it never materialised iykwim. :oooo:

I didnt feel proper movements until 18 weeks I think, but everyone is soo different. You've probably felt some movement but just not realised it.
FX LO starts booting you soon xxx

Nope nothing on scan notes (unless it's in medical speak and I am missing it but I don't think so!)

I am changing tack this week though and I am now calm and patient, I will feel bub soon enough I am sure

I think it was between 21/22 weeks for me, and even then it wasn't frequent and isnt much so now x

Sorry, please ignore the bad grammar! LOL X

I think I felt baby this morning.... I am sleeping on my right at the moment, have been for the last few Weeks, this morning I moved into my left and left I really hard thud inside so hard my body moved a little. And I know this sounds weired but I think I heard it too... I sleep with earplugs and heard what I could only describe as what it would sound like to thud the inside of a balloon if you were standing in it. It happened and it kinda woke me up and I thought, mm was that baby? Then it happened a second time! So I think it was...lol x

I felt tiny pops at 17 weeks but my first proper noticeable kick wasn't til about 21/22 weeks, but my placenta is anterior so maybe mine would be a bit later xxx

felt flutter sensation at 16 weeks. first kick at 18 weeks. weren't regular until about 20 weeks x

Sent from my shit hot phone! Fo shizzle home girls.

With my first I knew it was definately baby moving by about 19 weeks - it will just take you by surprise one day and you will be certain it's baby. I can guarantee you've probably already had very slight movement and thought whether it was baby - it almost certainly was! It's like small bubbles, butterflies or sort of swirling or little sudden flicks. It won't be long hun xxx

My OH felt really storong kicks last night so I bet it wont be long hun. xx

Hi carnat! Glad to see you're so chilled out hun :)

I felt teeny tiny little movements at 18 weeks, but they were so quick and faint that I kept thinking I'd imagined it... It was like tiny little taps or muscle twitches just on the front of my belly, only lasting about half a second so by the time I felt it, baby had gone away again and I couldn't work out if it was baby or wind!

I got my first proper kick at 20+2 and that was the first time I knew it was definitely baba as it was literally like being kicked from the inside by a tiny foot haha... My OH could feel it from around 21 weeks, and now they're quite strong!

Its so exciting...hope you feel something very soon hun, it will happen when you least expect! Xxx

Hey Nat,

I started to feel mine at 22w+1 (the day i went for my follow up scan, and have felt baby everyday since, whether it be a nudge or a kick or just a wriggle. I did feel the odd couple of things earlier than that but i wasnt definately sure and there was a week or so between feelings.

Hope you're well hunny.

x x

It was really late for me, not till around 24 weeks

Wow hun, that was pretty late!

Was this to do with location of your placenta?

At least I know if I don't feel bub by 18th June Iwill get to see him/her again (and find out where my placenta is )
