Is there alot of difference then? I suppose there is as formula is a consistant amount wheras breast milk has fore and hind milk, and babies take different amounts each time. It is interesting to read even though Damien is bottlefed.
Breastfed babies are typically meant to put on less weight/gain slower, so the other charts can make it seem like they are not thriving, when in fact they are.
yes thats true,
breastfed babaies take as much as they need. Where as bottle fed babies are given certain amounts and encouraged to drink it all.
On average a bottle fed baby is heavier than a breastfed baby. But i have seen chubby breastfed babies before. My second daughter was.
Where I am we don't have centile charts and so I'm not really sure how to read this... I can see what the axis stand for (age and weight) but what are the values of the curvy lines? Is the top one the 100th centile? or are those black lines each centile?
My question is, I can't seem to find anywhere that it says breastfed babies, how can we tell which charts relate to breast milk and which ones to formula or are all the charts on the site based on breast milk?
