I had a filling down just 1.5hrs ago and my mouth is getting very sore now. I presume this is because the injections is starting to wear off. Is this normal? This is my second filling but my first one I didn't need and injection for and I didn't get any pain both before and after. With this one it didn't hurt beforehand.

Thanks

The only thing that hurt with my fillings was the needle and when it wore off my gums were sore like my teeth had just come through.

Hmm, thanks. It wasn't a normal injection this time, he did something for quite a while and it just numbs the tooth, not half your mouth. I am really suprised it is hurting now, I am wondering whether to phone them up and check if it is normal.

you could do, wouldnt hurt to check... Hope you feel better soon hun
